Join us for an evening with The Saints of Swallow Hill, The Moonshiner's Daughter...historical fiction author Donna Everhart. Donna is known for writing about the North Carolina area where she grew up and still lives. Donna will discuss her newest book When the Jessamine Grows.

About the book:  Talk of the impending war is a steady drumbeat throughout North Carolina, though Joetta McBride pays it little heed. She has no desire to support the Southern cause or for her family to take sides in a war they do not believe in. As the country becomes further entangled in the ramifications of war, Joetta finds herself increasingly at odds with her friends, the townspeople, and even her family, until finally one reckless choice proves to impact the McBrides in ways unforeseen to all.
