Boyle is the author of the acclaimed Jack McMorrow mystery series, featuring ex-New York Times reporter Jack McMorrow and his social worker girlfriend Roxanne Masterson. Boyle is also the author of a second mystery series featuring rookie Portland cop Brandon Blake. The 12th McMorrow novel, Random Act, was published last year. Please note that Boyle wrote with his daughter, freelance writer Emily Westbrooks, a stand-alone crime novel set in Ireland, The Dead Samaritan. It is worth noting that the last two McMorrow books Random Act and Strawman, won the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction!
