In November of 1866, a grisly murder has taken place in London's East End. Inspector Richard Tennant is overseeing the investigation when he is surprised by the appearance of Dr. Julia Lewis, a young woman assigned to examining the corpse. Having gotten her medical training in America, Julia has recently returned to London to work in her grandfather's practice. 

Patrice is a former educator who taught history for more than three decades. She holds a memberships in the Historical Writers of America, The Historical Novel Society and the Mystery Writers of America. Patrice splits her time between New Jersey and the Florida Gulf Coast.
