Please join us for this very special joint program with Nichols Village and Langley-Adams Library! Herman Melville will be a performance by New England actor Stephen Collins! "Sailing Towards My Father" is a one-man play about Herman Melville (1819-1891), the American author best known for his whaling epic Moby-Dick. The play chronicles Melville’s life from youth to old age, concentrating on his evolution as a writer and his complex relations with God, his parents and siblings, his wife and children, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Having grown up in Cambridge and having graduated from UMass, Collins also works as a professionally licensed tour guide doing narrated historical tours of Boston.

Because this program will take place on Zoom and is hosted by Nichols Village, you MUST register. If you need help registering and/or have questions, please contact our library at 978-372-1732.
