Monday, June 286:30—7:45 PMVirtualLangley-Adams Library185 Main Street, Groveland, MA, 01834
Please join us for this special virtual event with best-selling author Alan Hlad (The Long Flight Home). Hlad will discuss his new book Churchill's Secret Messenger. Inspired by real historical events and people of WWII, Churchill's Secret Messenger pulls back the curtain on Churchill's secret organization (The SOE) known as Churchill's Secret Army. Rose, a young woman from London with a background in French is recruited from Churchill's Cabinet War Rooms typing pool to become an undercover spy in German-occupied France. This young woman partakes in daring missions, narrow escapes, and endures imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp-risking everything for her country and the man she loves. Hlad's book is a tribute to the too-often nameless heroic women of WWII! A huge thank you to Vida Engstrand of Kensington Books for making this program possible!
Because this will be a zoom meeting, you must register. One lucky participant will win an ARC of Hlad's new book!
