Join us as Anna Bliss discusses her debut historical fiction Bonfire Night. If you are joining us in person, the program is taking place off-site at Nichols Village on their big screen. If you are zooming, you must register to receive the Zoom link.

About the book:  Opening amid the violence and chaos of England's 1936 anti-fascism protests...an enduring connection forms between an Irish Catholic photographer and a Jewish medical student. Two ordinary people trying to survive a dark time. This story examines the complexities and challenges of this interfaith relationship during this horrific time in our world's history. 

About the author:  Anna is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and the University of Sussex, where she wrote her did  her dissertation  on women's narratives of the London Blitz during WWII. An alumnae of the juried Northern California Writers' Retreat, Anna has also studied at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Social Welfare, the American Jewish University , and the UCLA Extension Writers' Program. Bonfire Night is Anna's debut novel.
