Virtual Program: A History of Theater on Cape Cod

Thursday, May 66:30—7:45 PMVirtualLangley-Adams Library185 Main Street, Groveland, MA, 01834

Langley-Adams Library and Nichols Village invite you to join us to hear about Sue Mellen's new book A History of Theater on Cape Cod. Sue began her writing career as an arts, entertainment and feature writer for The Cape Cod Times, followed by various other occupations over the years until Sue eventually returned to reviewing the theatrical productions throughout Cape Cod. Sue will share her knowledge of the history of "truly American" (versus European- style) drama. Believe it or not, "truly American" drama began in Provincetown, not on Broadway! As in her book, Sue will treat us to a tour of the many-faceted theater history as well as an insider's view of what makes the Cape rich in great theater. This will be a zoom program and registration is required. Feel free to call our library if you need assistance and/or have questions.

Sue's book is to be released late April. One lucky participant will win a copy of her book!

Capacity: 74 of 100 spaces available.
